Surprise Gifts

Back in Boston for the first time since the end of March.  Upon entering our apartment, we were surprised to find a large brown paper-wrapped parcel waiting for us by the front door.

Inside were three pretty presents sent by our favourite Boston Marathon runner, who sadly had to bow out of this year's race at the last minute because of a broken foot.  We had planned to get together with fellow beloved blippers Subjunctive (the usually fleet-footed one), berelaxed and T., and KangaZu and her husband wall in April during the Marathon, but sadly that was not to be (this year!).  Ever-thoughtful Subjunctive had sent these gifts ahead, only to be discovered a good month later when we finally came back to the city for a spell!

Thank you so much for the thoughtful gifts dear P. -- we do appreciate them, and know that next year we will all get together in person as originally planned!  I will send the other presents along to their rightful owners once I get back to CT (at the beginning of next week) where I have their addresses and packing material readily to hand!
