Whom?
Early this morning I looked out toward our pond and spotted a Red-shouldered Hawk sitting in the Winged Elm on a branch favorited as
The Ideal frog/snake spotting perch by large birds of prey. I took a shot the moment before Ms Hawk flew off. Crappy photo...not enough light and I took it with my 70-300mm so it wasn't worth keeping. 5 minutes later I looked out, and on that very same branch sat this Barred Owl. I quietly opened the sliding glass door just wide enough to point my lens out. The light was still not the best so the photo is grainy but...I wanted to share this beautiful creature with you none the less. Everyone is feeding chicks! The frogs and snakes are staying well hidden, most of them anyway! I LOVE this time of the year...ok, I love every time of the year! hahaha
