From a different perspective!
Today's blip is taken from 180 deg from the point where I took the sunset. It is 22deg and almost mid day. I had taken several shots looking across the Hunter Valley in the direction of Muswellbrook. The photos were of a similar view but the foreground included several cows. On my way back to town, I took the time to take the last shots which included several horses. The valley at this point is about 15km wide. In pre historic times the entire valley was under the sea, in fact the area from the coast at Newcastle to Boggabri which is a total distance of over 300km was entirely under the ocean. The blip shows Muswellbrook on the north eastern side of the valley. Over the next couple of days I will show you areas of significance to the Aboriginal community who were the original inhabitants of this area. I will also take you to a lookout used by the bush ranger Captain Thunderbolt, and explain a little about his relationship with a local women who carried a gun. Thanks for visiting and have a great day
