Croft Ambrey Iron Age Hill Fort

We enjoyed our time at Croft Castle so much yesterday, and there was so much to see that we missed, that we returned today.
We first went for a walk in the parkland up to Croft Ambrey Iron Age Hill Fort, and its spectacular ramparts. I took this photo from the top of the ramparts. You may just about be able to make out the Shropshire hills rolling away into the distance.
Later on we went inside the castle which we had missed yesterday. We also managed another NT tea and cakes.
