Full of Surprises

That's how I'd describe Birmingham.

On my walk this morning I came upon a group of dancers rehearsing with a couple of diggers - of the JCB variety. Swinging from the raised buckets, above a paved surface. I couldn't watch for long.

My route took me by a lot of large building sites, including this. I don't know what it is, but the exterior is made of a mirror-like material which reflects the existing buildings in a wonderfully distorted way.

Finally, a complete contrast, down by the network of canals that run through the city centre. We are heading back there now to eat at an Italian place. The sun is still shining, we can pretend we are in Venice.
