Meadfoot

Just for a change it was pouring with rain this morning.  We don't seem to have had much luck weather-wise during this break, still we've made the most of it.

After 11am the rain eased a little and we went down to The Ness in Shaldon for coffee and a read of the papers after a walk through the village.  By lunchtime it cleared and stopped raining so we had a spot of lunch and headed off to Meadfoot, Torquay, a rocky bay on the edge of the town.  We had a little walk along the front, and I took some photos.  I nearly blipped yet another arty pic of rocks in the water (possible extra?) but instead I chose this sweep of beach huts, all in blue.  Apparently this was one of Agatha Christie's favourite spots and I thought this had a distinct 1930s feel.

Later we dropped down into the town for a coffee/tea at Nero.  Off to the Smugglers for tea this evening with Colin.
