Joy

He has had a successful first nest - although it is second as they lost the first clutch of eggs to a predator, but then, they hadn't hatched - I've noticed the first  nest of eggs is always the hardest and every robin I have got to know in this same family for the past 5 years, has always been through the second nest... so maybe Louie will indeed have a third nest?  He's still feeding the youngsters right now - I call him and they have started answering me too, with high pitched whistles, so they relate to me already... I whistle too, the whistle I have always used for Louie, ever since he was a youngster, so he knew me way back then and his children will always know me now too :) xxx
