Flower Friday . . .Edible Flowers

is the title of a song by the Finn Brothers.  I chose these nasturtiums as my subject for Biker Bears flower Friday with a twist, something from the kitchen.  I put them with the lovely Mason Cash ware that is a favourite of mine to use in the kitchen.  While thinking of words for a haiku the phrase edible flowers came to mind.  I don't read poetry but the lyrics in music affect me the way I imagine a poem would.
All the trash and the treasure
All the pain and the pleasure
Taste the edible flowers
Scattered in the salad days
