Is it really only Thursday.

What a crazy morning! 
I had a response from last nights ranty email saying that they were going to come out tomorrow to sort all the issues and that the original fitter would be reprimanded.  They also asked if the builder would be there so they can work with him to make sure he is happy.  The problem is the builder won’t be there and neither will I.  Seriously how do people with jobs ever manage to get building work done!
I then had an email from the other window company (the ones we are happy with) saying an engineer from the window manufacturers was in the area (a very rare thing apparently) and wanted to pop into the house today and have a look at a little issue with one of the astragal bars.  Now I work in Birmingham and Stu in Stone, so after several phone calls and a search to locate a spare key my super Mom agreed to pop a key to the house so they could get in.  
From work I headed straight to the house to clean off and cover up the sash windows on the front.  The repair to the bar was brilliant, however when I was cleaning them I notice another slight fault which we will need to get sorted over the next few weeks.  Once we had covered up our beautiful windows we got to work tidying up and filling the skip.  We had a chat with Peter from next door and another couple who stopped to say how lovely the house was starting to look.  She commented on how lovely the windows look which made my day!  They had been to view it when it was up for sale, but felt it was too much work for them (if only we had been so clever).  They bought a house at the top of the road instead but I think they have been checking out our progress. 
I really can’t wait now for everything to be finished so we can move in!
