Waiting

Waiting for the train with the blue sky visible through the glass roof of Aberdeen station. Heading down to Edinburgh today to meet with a former colleague.

If anything the weather in Edinburgh was even better than Aberdeen. A walk around the castle before lunch. The return train was busy, I must have started to hit commuter travel time, but luckily I had booked a seat. There was some sort of unexplained problem on the line between Montrose and Arbroath which caused the train to be about 20 minutes late by the time it got to Aberdeen. To compensate I was able to board the bus immediately for the final leg of the journey, so I probably got back about the same time I would have done had the train been on time.
