West Woods.
Fortunately criss-crossed with rights of way, so that access is not a problem, West Woods is renowned for its bluebells and wild daffodils in spring.
Post school, Harry and I headed off on our bikes for a Bluebell adventure tour. It is a good 25 minute ride to the woods (at pace) and therefore Harry's longest ride to-date, but he was keen to explore and led the way.
On arrival, at the West Woods car park, we were pleased to see some table and benches (great for a water stop) and a couple of rope swings (great for play). The woods themselves were worth the cycle ride....and Harry was delighted to find that by exploring some of the side paths we ended up in a bluebell carpet. See extra.
[H got to pick the photos blipped, so all my arty shots of the woods were abandoned for shots of the boy, but maybe that is a fair reflection of the day! We had fun.]
