A quick trip out today to Wimland hill, and I was surprised to see loads of these very tiny 16 spot ladybirds Tytthaspis16-punctata, sitting on the flowering grass stems. These tiny (3mm) ladybirds are often overlooked, but can be very abundant in rough grassland as you can see.
