Sheilah's snaps

By Sheilah

Light Night Liverpool

Started the evening at the Cathedral; Ian Tracey introducing and playing.
First time I've heard Toccata and Fugue in D minor played in a Cathedral setting... AWESOME!!!
Then a stroll along for a bite to eat on Hope Street.
Called in at the Philharmonic Music Room where a string ensemble played 'Crazy Little Thing Called Love' and 'Mr Brightside.' Fabulous!
The Rubber Duck Orchestra (pictured) were next with their exuberant Balkan - inspired music.
Listened to a narrative at the Everyman about the injustice of the repatriation of Chinese men after the world wars - compelling and poignant.
Not quite sure what to make of the main cathedral sound and light event though...
