Sidewalk seats in the sun

but far too hot for me to sit anywhere but in the shade!   I couldn't resist those shadows.
Another necessary morning trip to town.  I ran into a neighbour in Thrifty's, and she told me about the recent death of her 24-year-old grandson.  He completed the Vancouver Marathon, collapsed at the end, and didn't survive.   Terrible.  Somehow it always seems so wrong when the young ones die before the older, and I'm so sad for her.   :(
