Alum Bay

A much needed chill out day today on the Isle of Wight followng all the excitement of yesterday. It was warm, sunny at times but only hazy in between.

After a not too early breakfast and a bit of help with clearing up from yesterday, we headed over to Alum Bay and the Needles. Yes, it is the classic tourist spot, but it had to be done. We enjoyed the chairlift and an explore and then a sit on the beach. As you can see from the blip the weather looked a touch threatening but we didn't need to worry. After Alum Bay we pretty much skirted around the whole island stopping when we wanted a longer look at the view or an ice cream. We loved taking the floating bridge chain ferry in Cowes - just because!

A nice meal out this evening with the newlyweds and another couple of wedding guests who had stayed on.
