Late Evening Commute
The day started badly...and it got worse.
A collapsed ceiling, dry rot, faulty alarm, some dumped furniture, dodgy timbers, two missed meetings, and a defective drain - all before lunch. And when you need to go somewhere in a hurry, it doesn't help when some joker has left the pool car on floor six of the car park when it's supposed to be on floor three. I ended walking down the lines of cars on every floor from 1 to 6 intermittently pressing the key fob and looking for a car with flashing indicators.
The day got better with a team lunch at the Rock Cafe and an afternoon catching up with the emails.
This evening I provided a taxi service for Harriet who was out celebrating the end of her exams and her forthcoming 21st birthday.
I took this shot on the way back from dropping Harriet at the railway station. It shows the traffic on the M62 crossing Scammonden Dam. You could say that it's the sequel to Midgehole Dave's recent Early Evening Comute.
