Lianne La Havas and Newton Faulkner

I had a lovely day at the Secret Garden Party - a festival in Cambridge seeing old friends and spending time with Lianne La Havas and her band and crew and watching them perform at the festival. The weather was magnificent and was great to see so much creativity and life in one place. My highlights included seeing all the production crew and the lovely Lou who manages all the production for events such as this one, the dance field at Glastonbury and Wilderness. She is a wonderful organiser and very nice lady. I am awe of her relaxed nature and working with all the elements and pulling off incredible feats of production - a special lady indeed.
The rest of the day was spent with team La Havas and friends which was wonderful. Lianne has achieved so much in such a short period of time.
This time last year, Lianne was performing in a small pub in London (blip from last year)and as we speak her debut album reached the number 4 position in the charts. She has flown around the world and played all over Europe. Her admirers include Prince and Stevie Wonder and fashionistas from Tom Ford to Moschino alike. That's alot for one year. Lianne likes high shoes and here she is being carried to the stage in very high platforms by Newton Faulkner - a great singer who has a number one album in the charts right now. There was so much mud there is no way she could have walked to the stage! What a lovely man he is! Such a gentleman. Newton gave me a lovely fresh cup of Ginger and honey tea which is his tipple before and while he performs all served in a porcelain cup - very refreshing and delicious. Apparently a great herbal tea for singers.
