Through the wild garlic
Today I went on the Wildlife Trust's "Orchid Express" walk. First we went on the Cambrian Heritage Railway to Pen-Y-Gareg halt then a circular wild flower walk through the Oswestry Hills to return to the station.
There were lots of flowers and butterflies as the area is limestone. Too many types of flower to mention but lots of Early Purple Orchids and other kinds of orchid in bud.
The photo is of the group walking through a woodland full of wild garlic or ramsons. It's edible for anyone that forages for food.
Of course we couldn't resist sitting in the sun eating an ice-cream afterwards!
