Day out in Newcastle with my good friend Andy. Could have done without the 6:30 start but it did make a long relaxed day wandering around visiting pubs. Purely in the name of scientific research. Obviously.

Like so many places, one of the many bridges over the Tyne was smothered in padlocks. I've often wondered if people return to remove them if the relationship fails...
