Brief Encounter

This afternoon we went for a walk in the woods on the road to Greenlaw.

Emerging from the trees, we were confronted with this wonderful view of the Cheviots, with the sun lighting it up like a searchlight.

Hard to believe that in less than two minutes, the scene had disappeared into thickening cloud and the rain began once more.

Actually, given the past few weeks, perhaps it's not hard to believe at all!
