The time is now

I was given this clock as a gift as a child. It hasn't worked for years but despite its lack of tick or tock I cannot bear to get rid of it and so he has been recylced into a bookend.

As of today I am on 24 hour call (alternate days) in case of any rough sleeper emergencies during the Olympics and Para Olympics. Anyone sleeping rough at any time of the year is an emergency in my mind.....but, the eyes of the World and all that.

The torch passes the top of our street tomorrow morning - exciting.
I am due at a meeting in Ealing in the afternoon where the torch is headed - travel headache?
No matter, the sun is shining and will be tomorrow - I will take a good book and wear some sensible shoes.
