Blue and yellow

This is now the view from my office window. The yellow upright is the back of a long light well called The Blade, which allows daylight into the ground floor enclosure. Apparently this colour was chosen by a designer specifically to provide a pleasant outlook from all the offices which have lost their view as a result of the construction. Yeah, right!

It might look ok against a clear blue sky but I'm not convinced it will do a lot to improve the outlook when it's grey and cold.
