Logan brae Apples

We just love visiting the local Apple Orchard on Shipley Plateau.  Logan brae was one of the original and is in fact the only surviving Apple Orchard after a devastating fire in the 1950's destroyed many of the small landholdings.  Sam the new owner was there again today and very happy to sell us a box of his "picked this morning" Pink Lady apples.

As you can see, Sam also produces an exquisite Apple Juice and Apple Jelly.  He has a lot to be proud of as he has reignited the fire in a dying industry.  We never know what will be in the box from week to week, he has so many varieties to choose from after investing heavily in new plantings of many different types of apples.
