The ducks are winning...

...especially in this weather! Absolutely torrential rain to mark the start of the town festival this week. Still, lots of hardy local souls turned out and dutifully cheered horses and riders as they forded the river (which I managed to miss) and then urged their wee plastic duck to victory as they sped along on the fast flowing water.

These guys were there to release any that got stuck, but the water was moving so fast with all the rain there was no chance - they couldn't keep up with the wee blighters!
