Summer in the Meadow

The beginning and end of the day have been bright sunshine, with hardly a cloud to be seen.  I was out early and photographed a Whitethroat in amongst the bushes (see extra).  In the past I might have just assumed it was a sparrow, but I made the effort and checked on the RSPB bird Identifier site (At least I think it is!).  On the way back the meadow was full of wildflowers and today's image just evoked summer to me with the yellow and green hues.

I've added another extra, just for the novelty factor, as I was really surprised to see this young lady in the Arboretum in Walsall, complete with young kitten strategically placed.
