Low tide
This view is taken looking along the River Clyst estuary as it feeds into the River Exe and was taken early afternoon on one of those days when things kept going wrong.
My back was playing up so I went for an early morning walk by the beach and along the river estuary, bumping into a colleague from the local bird watching group. We didn't see much bird activity and I didn't get much in the way of photos. But the early morning stillness and sunshine was enjoyed by us both.
Once back home we decided to go out to a National Trust property and managed to go wrong getting there and then get stuck in a traffic jam along the small lanes. They were all heading for the NT property where there was a Classic Car Rally. We decided not to stop and returned past the queuing traffic only to get lost again as we missed our turning. In the end we played safe and visited an old familiar place Bowling Green Marshes and Topsham. We didn't get lost getting home either.
