Felley Priory

We found a little gem this afternoon. This private home that opens its gardens in the week and again on every 1st and 3rd Sunday at weekends. It also has a good nursery and a wonderful tea room in a separate farmhouse. Its just half a mile from j27 M1 but all you can see is an expanse of countryside.

The condition of the gardens are as good as any NT property and vary from formal topiary to meadows and lakes (see extras). A long walk over farmland also takes you to a bluebell woods. In warm sunshine it was a little peace of heaven.

Even the tiniest moorhen chick sat on a lily pad ( also in extra)
