Whilst the ongoing presence of the thick bundle of sneakroot next to the wall-behind-the-fence we already know it capable of growing through has not been a worry on the same level as other current worrying things it was quite relieving to finally feel the remaining clump starting to pop free this afternoon. The purchase and application if the mattock was the definite turning-point, though even the mattock's combination of crowbar/axe/spade/chisel needed some assistance from the two spades and the saw to take a few bits of the sides to gain access to the central depths. The plan is to shift the piglet-shed into the corner, though I shall wait a few weeks just to make sure there's nothing viable remaining.
