No Show
Today was show day but the was to be no show, the weather had put pay to that. After dressing both little ones this morning, after breakfast they headed back upstairs where Girl picked out some different outfits. Boy seemed to like his dress a lot. No matter as some of Wifes oldest friends came a visiting for lunch on their way back from holidays. Girl was delighted to see some other children similar to her age, no matter how famous, and straight away led them around granny's garden for a tour. Yelps of excitement were heard within minutes as they all were charging all around us.
In the afternoon we headed out to the village hall where the school classes from the cancelled show were being judged. One of the favorite neighbouring children had won a cup which was very exciting but not as exciting as the Meercat and other exotic animals that had come along to encounter with the villagers for strokes and cuddles.
Yet again we got to see how village life community means the little ones could head out and play with friends safe in the knowledge they were being looked after in a safe enviroment, whilst we ate tea and cake. The extra bonus of this being that I did not have to share any cake.
All this excitement was then topped of by Bradley Wiggins effectively winning the tour, an amazing achievment.
Oh and yes Boy wore the dress all day. I don't think all the burly yorkshire types thought it was a good look, but there you go, I thought he looked a beauty.
