Not long now . . . . !

These Suffolk ewes live close by the house at the moment, where the chap who owns them can keep an eye on them. They are pregnant ladies, and are due to lamb pretty soon now. Most sheep lamb in the spring, but some breeds lamb early and their offspring are then ready to be on the dinner table at Easter.

Because they are being fed a couple of times every day, they run towards you as you walk past, expecting a bucket for of feed, then they see Ollie and stop in their tracks! They obviously don't recognise him as any type of collie they've seen before!

It's been a super day off. Excellent cold, calm and bright weather, perfect for a walk. Left the stew cooking in the oven so came home to a lovely cosy house and also an easy tea tonight!
