Azaelas

For as long as I can remember Victoria Park has always had a wonderful display of rhododendrons and Azaelas. The park is also famous for its Fossil Grove, which is only open at weekends. The Fossil Grove was discovered in 1887 and contains the fossilised stumps if 11 extinct trees.

I don't often visit this park ..... it's north of the river and we south-siders have plenty of parks on our side of the river. Today was an exception as I was crossing to the north side to visit a friend. It's a lovely park ..... must visit it more often!
