Shattered
Blimey, I am totally shattered after the weekend. I have achy breaky legs and even though I had a lie in I was fit for nothing today. I had thought that I would go off on another photo jaunt and it would dispense the weariness. On the news I heard that the new bridge they are constructing by the M60 had collapsed this morning and so I meandered over that way, but I couldn't get close and I think by the time I'd dragged myself out of the house the drama and flashing blue lights were all over anyway.
I went to the Quays to have a walk instead. After the glorious weather of the last to days it was chilly today and so I was glad of my new age hippy dippy jacket that I bought yesterday. There wasn't much going on so I slipped into the Lowry to see a an art instillation instead....I wish I hadn't!
Katie Paterson has an exhibition, Syzygy and I was not really impressed, but I have never been physically affected by art before. In one room there was a huge glitter ball that cast moving light flashes across the walls and floor.....it actually knocked me sick. It felt like the room was moving and the nausea induced a headache so I just had to go home.
I put up my tired legs and closed my eyes to ease the headache...and fell asleep. I woke up in time to meet up with a pal for a cuppa and a catch up, but it will be an early night tonight methinks.
