early start - into parliament for 9.15 (mum panicking about time via text, of course). we had a while to wait though so me and eve had some breakfast in the canteen, then a nice bloke came over and gave us extra tickets to go up and watch the first session of oaths. gillian was on the second session and she did really well despite her doric card being missing. then lunch in the main canteen with all the msp's and guests (which was weird). we had a look at g's new fancy office then back in for the last of the oaths...then the votes on the new presiding officers took ages! we were in and out all afternoon until it finished at 7pm. me and dad were loving it. such a long day but ace seeing g at her first proper day at work, so proud of her.
