I have no idea what the 'trees' behind the Bergenias are called. During the winter they stood as naked trunks with no lateral growth.As soon as we had some warm days they burst into leaf at the top and at a few points on the trunk
I can find no mention of it in the RHS encyclopaedia. Help!
