Regents Canal

The start of our mini break to London to see eldest son Stephen. The contrast in temperature with home was striking and we emerged from Kings Cross station into bright sunshine.

We were looking for somewhere to sit and have lunch. Originally planning on visiting the Skip Garden we decided to change our plans and sit in the sunshine alongside Regents Canal. The redevelopment of the Kings Cross area is well underway as can be seen from the cranes in the background. The old warehousing you can see is now student accommodation. The area in front has a grid of small fountains with lights and random jets of water that a number of children were enjoying running through.
