Primroses

I went to Hoy to monitor the white-tailed eagles but they didn't show, so I went for a walk at the Bay of Creekland. In a tiny wood there I found thousands of primroses lining two small burns. I think that conditions there must be milder than elsewhere on Orkney- the wood faces east and is protected from the westerly winds by the hills. More here: https://www.flickr.com/photos/octobermoth/
