They're off !

But by the middle of the afternoon the Races
were off. The powerful swell had all but twisted
the engine off its mounting on one of the boats
with the boat having to be towed in. Another
suffered minor damage causing it to pull out.
But it was a thrilling sight to watch from the
Marine Drive grandstand as these beasts of
the sea with their 250 horsepower engines
roared through the sea challenging not only
each other, but in these conditions, the boats
themselves.
