I love a washing line

It's true.  One of my happiest and proudest moments was pegging out my own washing, on my own line, in the yard of my own house for the first time.  It was warm, I was independent, and secure, and very happy.

Washing on lines is, obviously, more often seen as the weather warms up, so I always think it's a bit optimistic.

The colours, the sound of the flapping and the patterns make me think of it more like domestic art, a kind of utilitarian tibetan prayer flag line.

So, apologies so any peggers out who might think it cheeky of me to blip their washing - but don't be offended - instead join with me in the celebration of optimistic mundanity.
