Poor Law

Blimey, I'm shocked!
Oddie's night for xc training at Countesthorpe, where she's being going for weeks. For a change I decided to stick around and explore the area around the school. Sitting alongside the school fields is what I figured to be an old water tower (hey ho I was right!)
What I didn't know is that the tower is part of a larger estate, once Cottage Homes for children whose parents had been admitted to the workhouse!
Amazingly these fabulous houses built in the 1900's and all structurally sound are boarded up.:(
Meanwhile over in the school grounds a group of likely lads had gathered  for a fag and a wee bit of a swearing match.
Irony eh!
