....do the fandango.....
That should read "The fan cango".
This morning....10 minutes before the electrician was due to turn up, the company boss phoned to say the replacement fan part had arrived....bu it was the wrong one! The part that had been delivered was polished chrome and the part we have is brushed chrome....did we want the replacement?
No we bloody didn't....why would we want two parts that didn't match?!
So he said he would phone us back in a while. I ripped open the box and found the invoice for the fan....and went on to the supplier's web site.
Surprise number 1......the fan was in the clearance section!
Surprise number 2....the price was £29.99....but the conservatory company is charging us £50!
I looked and there was one fan left....with silver blades....so why has ours got white? I checked it was available by going through the order process...except for payment.
The phone rang......apologies from the company but they couldn't locate a fan.....so I told them that there was one available........so they promised to ring back!
The builder arrived.....apologising....he still doesn't have the door restrictors or the grid cover....so he got a bit of an ear bashing....and got his head down and cracked on.
30 minutes later the phone rang...the company boss again....no fan...web site not been updated....blah-de-blah-de -blah........but there was a nice blue one....did we want that.!!!!!!!!!! WTF!!!!.......... having designed a room with brick walls....and earth shades tiles why on earth would we want a f***ing blue fan!!!???
We told him to shove the fan as far as he could.....sideways.....and to knock the £50 off the bill....and not to even think about charging us for delivery of the totally useless one.
Two hours of trawling websites later....we agreed we couldn't find anything we liked....so we decided to sack the fan.....down to B&Q for a spotlight bar.....bingo £16.98. Phoned the electrician....coming tomorrow to fit the light bar and finish the heater....the builder will be round asap to finish........not sure the gaffer will come though....not as long as we still have the fan!
