Frosts come and my hen moults

My best layer Redhead, has paused in egg making while she grows new feathers.  Interesting how the moult goes. She has lost her dense spine area feathers -  the old feathers are everywhere. Now all the new tubes with the feathery fronds emerging are appearing.
