Lilac
An early walk from Penny Rock to Grasmere and back along the road. A bit grey. I had wanted photographs of bluebells but mine were pretty rubbish.
Just before the village I noticed this wonderful lilac. The scent was absolutely intoxicating. Lovely. Walked on debating where I could plant one in the garden to get the maximum benefit from the scent.
No 2 son arrived just after midday. Great to see him and he is much happier now that the hard work for the exams last week is over and the results positive. He now prepares for the next stage of the course. He is off to New Zealand next week for 8 months to learn (again) how to fly. Lucky boy.
We had a good catch up, dinner at home and shared a bottle of fizz to celebrate.
All is well with the world.
