Heart
Spent much of yesterday afternoon/evening processing the offal from Merlin, Barney, Jake, Storm & Shadow - hearts, lights (lungs), livers & kidneys. Bizarrely only 4 sets of lights back from the abattoir, but not too important. Lungs processed in the hand-mincer to be fed raw to the chickens (remember that if you ever have our eggs!); rest of bits split, weighed, bagged & frozen.
Two hearts & half a liver saved fresh for tonight's 'Paprikash of Heart', with Sweet Spanish, Hot & Smoked Paprika - delicious! Before all that a trip to the excellent Arvon Ale House in Llandrindod Wells to meet a couple of old friends, and have a few excellent real ales...
