Total mayhem at the small pond in Queen's Park this morning. There was a group of nursery children sitting at the edge of the pond watching the ducklings swimming about.  The nursery staff had brought seed to feed the ducks ...... they forgot about the pigeons who swooped in with great flapping of wings causing the youngsters to panic and scream.  Mother duck quickly gathered her brood (12 last week .... only 8 now) and made off for the reeds leaving the pigeons to finish off the seed.
