WHAT HAPPENED TO SUMMER?

A leaf on the kitchen doormat is usually an autumnal sight. In fact it was only last week that I threw out a crumbly brown beech leaf which had blown in on a northerly wind. I maybe had missed it when clearing the garden, along with many others!
