Marjorie's ramblings

Arriving at Baile na Cille

This is a back blip.

I was on Scarp this morning. The plan was to go for a walk after breakfast, but it was soon raining steadily so I suggested staying in. The wind blew up and I watched the sea with some anxiety.

Instead of waiting until after lunch, David decided we should cross to Harris sooner rather than later. The crossing was not too bad although rather damp.

I drove to Lewis through rain and a lot of greyness. I was a delight to see Baile na Cille (a wonderful place to stay). I have an upstairs room with a great view. There is the bedroom and a separate sitting room and a shower room.

As usual, the people staying are interesting and friendly. Richard, the owner, produced wonderful food and has a very quirky sense of humour.

My blip is the misty view from the house; the bay looks beautiful even in th rain.
