Alpine Abstract I

I have been wanting to do this for a long time. Years, I mean. Particular conditions are required, for one thing, and then I wanted a particular configuration of snow vs bare rock. My daughter, (FirehorseMia), pointed out that it isn't necessary to wait for the perfect moment. I could make a series showing the changes. For me there is too much detail in the gullies in this image.

Anyway, you can see that there is not much snow on the mountains for the depths of winter.

My daughter is off back home this evening. I took her to my son's workplace and he (aliveunwed) is taking her the rest of the way. I miss her already.
