Gathering in the peat

The weather was so good up here in Melvaig that I decided to stay on for another 2 days and help my sister Beth bring down some of the peat that was cut in the spring.

Her peat bank is very near Rua Reigh lighthouse and the bog cotton was beautiful this year because of the lovely weather.

We managed to bring down 16 bags of peat but there is still quite a lot to go.
