Stone Rows
Today the weather was always threatening to rain and it did. finally, this afternoon. So the dogs got the early walk and we went to Merrivale and walked towards Kings Tor. There is so much prehistory here yo can't help but stumble of it. This is a picture of the bronze age (?) double row of stones running for 865 ft east to west. This is the eastern end, with the large triangular stone. The far end terminates with a pillar and slab with a small stone circle halfway down. Nearby there is also a stone kistvaen (grave) and a lone standing stone near another stone circle (see second picture). Innes, not being a lover of history, tried to cock his leg up each and every stone but ran dry pretty quickly :)
