Buttercups and Blossom

Ann went off to see friends this morning so I took off for a walk to Shottery. I went via Shottery Brook Walk to Anne Hathaway's cottage. The tulips have finished but other flowers are on the up and the grounds are awash with buttercups.

The photo was taken on my way to the cottage.

After lunch I prepared a Butternut Squash and Chickpea Roast which Tom and I had for tea, Ann having eaten with her friends.

In home news: Marc has finished laying the patio and just needs to do the grouting, so fingers crossed for a dry day tomorrow.
